¹ THEANDHRA SCHEDULED AREAS (CESSER) ORDER,1955

Inexercise of the powers conferred by sub-paragraph(2) of paragraph 6 of the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of India, thePresident is pleased to make the followingOrder, namely:--

1.(1) This Order may be called theAndhra Scheduled Areas (Cesser) Order,1955.

(2)It shall come into force atonce.

2.The areas specified in the Scheduled to thisOrder which form part of the Scheduled Areas in the Visakhapatnam Agencyand the East Godavari District in the State of Andhrashall cease to be part of the Scheduled areas and the Scheduled Areas(Fart A States) Order, 1950,² shall stand amended accordingly.

3.(1) All laws which immediately before the commencement of thisOrder, extend to, or are in force in, the Visakhapatnam District but notin the areas specified in Part I of the Schedule to thisOrder; shall, as fromsuch commencement, extend to, or as the case may be, come into force in the saidareas; and all laws which, immediately before the commencement of thisOrder, are in force in the said areas, but not in the said district,shall, as from such commencement, cease to be in force in the said areas,except in respect of things done or omitted to be done before such commencement.

(2)All laws which, immediately before the commencement of thisOrder, extend to, or are in force in, the East Godavari District but notin the areas specified in Part II of the Schedule to thisOrder, shall, as fromsuch commencement, extend to, or as the case may be, come into force in the saidareas; and all laws which, immediately before the commencement of thisOrder, are in force in the said areas, but not in the said district,shall, as from such commencement, cease to be in force in the said areas,except in respect of things done or omitted to be done before such commencement.

Explanation.--Inthis paragraph "law" includes any Act,Ordinance or Regulation and any notification,order, scheme, rule, form and bye-law issued, made or prescribed underany Act, Ordinance orRegulation.

4.If any difficulty arises out of, or in relation to, the application of paragraph3 of this Order, the Governmentof Andhra may, by order,notified in the Official Gazette, make such provision as it considers necessaryfor the removal of such difficulty.
