Superintendence of Governor-general.

1 [54. Superintendence ofGovernor-General

(1)In so far as the Governor of a Province is by or under this Act required to actin his discretion or to exercise his individual judgment, he shall be under thegeneral control of, and comply with such particular directions, if any, as mayfrom time to time be given to him by the Governor-General in his discretion, butthe validity of anything done by a Governorshall not be called in question onthe ground that it was done otherwise thanin accordance with the provisions ofthis section.

(2)Before giving any directions under this section, the Governor-general shallsatisfy himself, that nothing in the directions requires the Governor to act inany manner inconsistent with any Instrument of Instructions issued to theGovernor by His Majesty.
