Section 13 - Wards for Elections in Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964
Wards for Elections.
1 [Wards] for elections.--
2 [(1)] For the purposes of election of councillors to be elected to fill the seats under 1 [clause (a) of sub-section (1)] of section 11, the Government shall, 3 [x x x] by notification determine, --
(a) the number of territorial 1 [wards] into which the 1 [municipal area] shall be divided;
(b) the extent of each territorial 1 [ward];
(c) the number of seats allotted to each territorial 1 [ward] which shall be 4 [one 1 [x x x]]; and
(d) the number of seats, if any, reserved for the 1 [Scheduled Castes, Schedule Tribes, Backward classes and for women] in each territorial 1 [ward].
5 [Provided that the territorial 1 [wards] formed shall comprise, as far as may be, of contiguous blocks.]
6 [(1A) No notification under sub-section (1) shall be called in question in any court of law.]
