Section 87 of Bombay Prohibition Act, 1949, (Maharashtra)
Penalty for Chemist, Druggist or Apothecary for Allowing His Premises to Be Used for Purpose of Consumption of Liquor.
A chemist, druggist, apothecary or keeper of a dispensary who allows any liquor, which has not been bona fide medicated for medicinal purposes according to the prescription of a1[registered medical practitioner] or any intoxicating drug to be consumed on his business premises by any person, shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
